What to Send for a Quotation
For honour boards, include rubbings of the existing lettering as well as photographs, measurements and complete wording. Tell us whether you need lettering supplied for self-installation or would like us to install it.

For honour boards, take rubbings over the existing lettering and send them to our team as a matching reference. Also supply photographs of the complete board, close-ups of the entries and the available space. For trophies or engraved plates, send clear photographs of the existing engraving.

Measurements & Material Details
Provide the available engraving area or plate dimensions where possible. Tell us what you know about the material, finish and how the plate or board is fixed.

Exact Wording & Entry Position
Supply names, years, titles and punctuation exactly as required. For several categories or years, identify where each entry belongs and flag any requested corrections separately.

Location & Required Date
Tell us the location, required date and whether the board is already off the wall or can be taken down without scaffolding. Let us know if you prefer vinyl lettering for self-installation or can bring the board to our offices, subject to confirmation.
Keep the Existing Presentation in Mind
Matching Lettering & Finishes
For honour boards, we recommend taking rubbings over the existing lettering to help match the letter shapes and size. Supply the rubbings along with photographs showing the spacing, alignment and overall layout. Photographs alone may not provide all the detail needed for matching.
For engraved plates and perpetual trophies, we can assess the original item or clear photographs of the existing engraving. Fonts, colours, finishes and materials may no longer be available; we will discuss suitable options where an exact match cannot be achieved.
If there are several different lettering styles already on the item, identify which entry you would like us to use as the reference.
Choose Your Lettering & Installation Option
Vinyl Lettering & Installation
We can send out vinyl lettering for you to install on your honour board. Alternatively, we can install the lettering at our offices when the board is brought in by arrangement.
On-site installation is only considered where the board has already been taken off the wall, or can be taken off the wall without scaffolding. We do not provide on-site installation for boards that require scaffolding to take down. Please contact our team to confirm suitability and arrangements before proceeding.
On-site installation fees vary and are additional to the cost of the lettering. The billing period starts when we leave the office and ends when we return, including travel time to and from the site.
Tell us whether you require vinyl lettering only, installation at our offices or an assessment for on-site work. Installation charges, board removal and any other work must be confirmed in the quotation; they are not automatically included.
When the Existing Award Is Full
Plan for Future Entries
Depending on the original design and space available, options may include an additional plate, companion board or a new recognition display. Send photographs of the complete item and explain how many future entries you need to accommodate.
Tell us if you expect annual updates so future lettering space and a consistent entry format can be considered.
Check the Details Before Engraving
Wording & Production Guidance
Check names, spelling, dates and entry positions carefully. Where a proof is supplied, approve the wording, fonts, layout and sizes before production.
Changes after artwork approval may incur additional costs and affect the completion date. Confirm timing for the particular item and engraving method before relying on an event deadline.
